No matter how emotionally strong you are at one point in your life you are going to have to lean on someone. Whether it be a mom a dad an aunt or a best friend we cannot go through life alone. This is a lesson I keep learning every day. When my grandpa died it was one of the hardest periods of my life. I experienced loss, grief, anger, sadness, and confusion all at the same time. It helped that other people were experiencing those same feelings. We leaned on each other for emotional support and love even when it was hard. This common theme of leaning on one another was from the song Lean on me by Bill Withers. He talks about having someone to be there when you feel like you need someone to hold you up and to be there for you. This is especially important as teens because we go through a lot some more than others and without our friends and family we would be emotionally train wrecked. SO never forget that there are people out there who love you and care about you and who want the best for you. So when you aren’t strong lean on someone.
