Yesterday was just been one of those where studying was the last thing on my mind.
- (It didn't help that there is this really nice guy in my class who I can't help but notice). So the big question is how do you focus when your parents are yelling at you to do your homework, your friends keep snap chatting you, and you have piles of homework to do? Here are some quick tips to studying when you can't focus.
1. Take a few moments of me time. You can use this time to think about how cute the guy in your class is, draw, or relax. This prepares you for the hours you have to study.
2. Once you get your free time hike to a space that is comfortable and free of distractions. In fact, you may want to turn off all of your devices and TVS so that you are not thinking about what you would rather be doing.
3. Begin by looking over all of the assignments you need to study.
4. Study. If you find your mind wandering yank yourself back to earth with some classical focus music.
5. Study in 20 minute intervals and take 5 minute breaks between each practice. These breaks will save you from becoming a vegetable by the time you finish studying.
6. During study time try to push all of the other things from your mind (it may feel impossible) but if you focus as hard as you can on your work you will understand things better.
Make sure that when you take breaks you don’t get too distracted because this has happened to me before and it sucks L. Of course, during your study time you maystill be thinking about other things, but remember that it will be worth it when you get an A on that test.
When you finish studying don't forget to reward yourself with your favorite thing!
Got to go
Good luck
