In the book 7 habits of a highly effective teen by Sean Convey (which every teen should read) he talks about being proactive instead of reactive. Being proactive means many things. Sometimes in life we get mad and act on our feelings, being proactive means just the opposite. It means that when bad things happen to you, you bounce back from it instead of moping forever. However, being proactive doesn't mean that you are perfect. You may mess up or get angry like everyone else; but how you react is up to you. It also means that you try not to mope about things you can't change; like the size of your nose, or your large lips. Proactive means that you have respect for yourself and for others around you. I have been trying to be more proactive lately, why don't you try too? Trust me, it can change your life.
