Today I chose to talk about peer pressure because it is such a hard thing to talk about. We face it in our everyday lives big and small. It all starts with the choices that we make. For example, you may have the choice to study for that English assignment due tomorrow or call your best friend and talk until 12:30 at night. So, why is peer pressure so hard to overcome? The answer is simple: we want to fit in and be like everyone else. It is easy to be part of a group who makes wrong choices, but its so much harder to step up and say no. This is especially true in today's society. So what do you do if you find that you are a victim of negative peer pressure?
1. Find strength within- when we are strong in the inside and we have an idea of who we are and our character, we are less subject to do things that will negatively affect us.
2. Choose good friends: Friends are everything. They are the ones you spend most of your time with and the people that inspire you most. It is very important to choose the right friends.
3. When you say no think about what you are saying yes to
4. Find a new environment completely.
If you are dealing with negative peer pressure don't give up.
